These are our rules that we have shared with your children.
- We use gentle hands and feet
- We listen to all of the adults in nursery
- We share with everyone
- We tidy up
- We walk inside
As well as these rules we use the school's positive behaviour policy, Stay On Green. All of the children begin the day on the green smiley face.
If they try really hard with a piece of work, display amazing behaviour or show their own initiative within the Nursery they will be moved on to the star. As a reward they will receive a sticker at the end of the day.
If any of the children break any of the rules they will first be reminded of the class rules. If the child continues to make the wrong choices they will be moved on to red sad face. If disruptive behaviour continues the child will have to sit out and think about their behaviour for 3 minutes.
The children in Nursery are always encouraged to behave in a positive way, to use good manners and to try their hardest.
We will also be having a weekly Star Assembly on Fridays where three children from the AM class and three children from the PM class will receive certificates celebrating their achievements.
